David Briggs

David BriggsCreative Director Dave Briggs has over 25 years experience in theme parks, exhibitions, museums, entertainment installations, and television. Known for his ability to create memorable experiences, Dave has devoted his career to engaging audiences on both a large scale and up-close-and-personal level. An accomplished Director, Writer, Cinematographer and Editor, Mousetrappe Creative Director Dave′s creative and directorial work was the cornerstone of the highly regarded Beyond All Boundaries at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. His vast capacity for outside-the-box conceptual development, as well as his versatility and flexibility are just a few of the reasons David has compiled an enviable portfolio and is highly respected among colleagues in the industry.

Projects for Universal Studios Japan include the Magical Starlight Parade, Fantastic World - the world’s first outdoor musical-type attraction using mobile stages with video imagery; and an animated video short for the Hollywood Dream roller coaster.

For The Disneyland Resort, Dave’s directorial work includes: Steps In Time and Lights, Camera, Disney! for Disney’s California Adventure Hyperion Theater; Luminaria, a floating multi-screen lagoon holiday spectacular; It’s a Bug’s Life national mall tour for Pixar and Walt Disney Studios featuring interactive video attractions; and multiple projects for Disney Live Family Entertainment and Walt Disney Special Events.

Museum projects include CODE: J.O.B. for the Los Angeles Museum of Science and Industry – a multi-screen immersive audience experience that explores the world of health care; and Earth 2 U an interactive video display for the Smithsonian Institute.

Major exhibitions include multi-screen, wide-screen, and surround video environments often involving innovative, first-of-its-kind media applications for Nissan, Epson, Toshiba, Toyota, and Infiniti… as well as a 360-degree video environment for Harrah’s Atlantic City.

Dave has also directed numerous regional and national broadcast commercials for Pioneer, Isuzu, Fleetwood Homes, and a Clio-nominated series of in-theater short films for The Los Angeles Times. In addition, Dave directed multiple episodes of Mowgli - The New Adventures of the Jungle Book for the FOX Kids Television Network.

“‘Video’ has come to mean a lot of different things these days,” Dave explains, “it’s probably no longer just a visual medium. For people around the world, video has become a language... and the director a creative translator.”
